Abstract
Several 5- and 6-membered P-heterocycles were made available in optically active form by resolution applying TADDOL-derivatives, as well as the Ca2+ salts of the dibenzoyl- and di-p-toluoyl-tartaric acid as the resolving agents. The optically active 3-phospholene oxides were converted to the corresponding platinum-complexes that were used as catalysts in the hydroformylation of styrene and they showed interesting selectivities.
