Abstract
The novel 10-membered chelated metal complexes have been synthesized by the reaction of known ligand 1, CH2(o-C6H4OPPh2)2, and 2, PPh2O(CH2)3OPPh2, with starting complexes, MCl2COD[M = Pd (1a, 2a), Pt (1b, 2b)]. The characterization of new complexes has been performed by utilizing 31P{1H}-NMR, 13C{1H}-NMR, 1H-NMR, and FT-IR spectroscopic methods and elemental analysis. Also, the structures of complexes 1a and 1b have been determined by X-ray crystallography. Complexes 2a and 2b turned into dimer structures (2a′ and 2b′) during the recrystallization process Complexes 1a and 2a are very effective catalysts in the Suzuki–Miyaura C‒C cross-coupling reactions of aryl bromide with phenylboronic acid.
