Ultrasonic bottom-up and up-to-down methods to synthesize nano particles of two N-nicotinyl phosphorictriamides

ABSTRACT

Nano particles of two phosphoric triamide compounds containing nicotinamide group with formula C5H4NC(O)NHP(O) (R)2 that (R = N(CH3) (C6H11) (1), NC6H12 (2)) were synthesized by using ultrasonic waves with two, Top-Down and Bottom-Up methods. The products were characterized by FT-IR, SEM, and EDX. The average particle size obtained from Bottom-Up and Top-Down method were 80–90 nm, 40–50 nm for compound 1, and 60–70 nm, 20–30 nm for compound 2, respectively. For the both compounds, the nano particles obtained from the Top-down approach were more uniform in their morphology and smaller in their size.
