GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT

The pyridyl substituted 1,5-diaza-3,7-diphosphacyclooctanes were utilized for the luminescent copper(I) and gold(I) complexes design. The structures of the obtained metal complexes depend on the metal ion origin, availability of the pyridyl group for coordination, and coligands coordination ability. All the presented complexes demonstrate emission from blue to orange range of spectra. It was found the rare white emission of the hexanuclear copper(I) complexes. Dinuclear gold(I) complexes display a luminescent vapochromism and thermochroism. The tuning of that luminescent phenomenon is possible by variation of the substituents.
