ABSTRACT
The novel 1,8-diaza-3,6,10,13-tetraphosphacyclotetradecanes were obtained by the covalent self-assembly in the course of the condensation of 1,2-bis(phenylphosphine)ethane, paraformaldehyde and optically pure S(+) or racemic sec-butyl amines. In both cases isomers with RRRR/SSSS configuration of the phosphorus atoms were isolated while configuration of the chiral carbon atoms of the exocyclic fragments depends on the optical purity of initial amines.
