ABSTRACT

Heteroleptic or homoleptic dinuclear complexes with stoichiometry Cu2I2L2Py2 and Cu2I2L4 are obtained by reaction of 10-(aryl)phenoxarsine ligands with copper iodide in pyridine in the equimolar ratio and in a 1 : 2 stoichiometry using non-coordinating solvent respectively. Unexpectedly only 1D polymeric complex [CuIL2]n is formed by the reaction of 10-(ethoxyphenyl)phenoxarsine with CuI in the molar ratio 1 : 2.
