Preparation of diastereomericamidosulfites or phosphonic acid amidoesters derived from a diastereomerically or enantiomerically pure phenol residue containing a chiral auxiliary is presented. The attempted ring opening reactions of these derivatives with a few nucleophilic reagents are also mentioned.
