Synthesis of siloxane nanogel with phenylboronic functional groups

, , &

Abstract

In this work, a siloxane nanogel containing phenyl borate functional groups was obtained consistently by condensation of the sodium salt of methyltriethoxysilane in acetic acid and further functionalization with 4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-2-styryl-1,3,2-dioxaborolane (St-BPin) by hydrosilylation reaction. The obtained nanogel was investigated by NMR and IR spectroscopy, element analysis, and GPC.
