Abstract

Reactions of diphenylantimony chloride with the sodium salts of O,O-dialkyldithiophosphoric acids in 1: 1 molar ratio in benzene solution yield neutral complexes with the general formula (RO)2PS2SbPh2 (where R = CH3, C2H5, n-C3H7 i-C3H7 n-C4H9 i-C4H9). These complexes are monomeric in nature and have been characterized by IR, fH, 13C and 31P NMR spectroscopy. The 31P nmr spectral data are consistent with the chelating behaviour of the dithiophosphate moieties.
