0,0-DIALKYL DITHIOPHOSPHATE COMPLEXES OF DIPHENYL ANTIMONY (III)

Abstract

Reactions of diphenylantimony chloride with the sodium salts of O,O-dialkyldithiophosphoric acids in 1: 1 molar ratio in benzene solution yield neutral complexes with the general formula (RO)₂PS₂SbPh₂ (where R = CH₃, C₂H₅, n-C₃H₇ i-C₃H₇ n-C₄H₉ i-C₄H₉). These complexes are monomeric in nature and have been characterized by IR, ^fH, ¹³C and ³¹P NMR spectroscopy. The ³¹P nmr spectral data are consistent with the chelating behaviour of the dithiophosphate moieties.
