Abstract

The reactivity of phosphonodithioformates with traialkylphosphites,organometallics and thiols is studied. The thiophilic addition of these nucleophilic reagents makes the aforementioned dithioesters, suitable precursors of substituted methylene bis-phosphonates and Wittig-Homer reagents.
