Abstract

Reaction of a suspension of S₃N₃Cl₃, in the with an equimolar amount Li₃N at O°C produces S₄N₄ in good yield (ca 64%). Reaction of Li₃N with SCl₂ in thf generates [S₄N⁻] which on acidic work up produces S₇NH.
