NEW SYNTHETIC ROUTES TO S4N4 and S7NH. REACTION OF Li3N WITH S3N3Cl3 AND SCl2

Abstract

Reaction of a suspension of S3N3Cl3, in the with an equimolar amount Li3N at O°C produces S4N4 in good yield (ca 64%). Reaction of Li3N with SCl2 in thf generates [S4N] which on acidic work up produces S7NH.
