Abstract
This paper reports the reactions of hexaalkyl phosphorous triamides (HEPTA) with chloroform, bromoform or iodoform. By the FAB-MS, 31P-NMR, and 13C-NMR study the structures of the products have been determined and a possible reaction mechanism has been proposed. Furthermore, the order of reactivity has been established to be: CHI3 > CHBr3 > CHCl3.
