Abstract
The possibility to obtain pure salts of tetrafluoroboric acid with aminophosphines is proved. It is shown by means of NMR spectroscopy and X-ray analysis that the protonation occurs at the phosphorus atom only. All aminophosphonium salts prepared appear not to phosphorylate nucleophiles, whereas phos-phorylation occurs when some bases turning the phosphonium salts into H-complexes are added.
