Abstract

The X-ray crystal structure of the title compound reveals that the planar [S₄N₃]⁺ cations surround the Cl⁻ anion with an array of S(δ+)….Cl⁻ interactions. The FT Raman spectrum shows a significant reduction of the v(SS) frequency in the title compound cf. [S₄N₃]Cl.
