Abstract
O,O'-Dialkyl (or alkylene) dithiophosphates of trimethylaminoborane of the types B[S2P(OR)2]3.NMe3 and B[S2POGO]3.NMe3 (where R = Me, Et, Pri, Bui, Ph; G = -CMe2CMe2- and -CH2CMe2CH2-) have been synthesized as monomeric, white crystalline solids, soluble in common organic solvents and are characterized by elemental analyses, molecular weight measurements, IR and multinuclear (1H, 11B and 31P) NMR spectral studies which are consistent with four coordinated boron and the monodentate behaviour of the dithiophosphate moiety.
