Abstract
The lanthanide-induced 31P-NMR shift for phosphorylated calix[4]arenes 1 and phosphoryl compounds 2–9 with Eu(FOD)3 and Yb(FOD)3 is described. It is noticeable that the shift behaviour of the cyclic and acyclic phosphate group of 1 is very different. This unusual behaviour is explained by a steric influence of the aromatic ring with or without tert. butyl group.
