Abstract

Ultrasonic irradiation leads to increased reaction rate and reduction in reaction temperature and time in the reactions of tetraphosphorus decasulfide and 2,4-bis(alkylthio- and 4-methoxyphenyl)-2,4-dithioxo-1,3,2λ5,4λ5-dithiadiphosphetanes with dialkyl disulfides, thioacetals, acetals, bis(tributylstannyl)sulfide and tributyl(iso-butylthio)stannane and to increased yields of organothiophosphorus products.
