Abstract
Amino-phosphonic acids and their diethyl esters containing one or two pyridyl moieties were synthetized in good yields, starting from the corresponding Shiff base as precursors. The new compounds were characterized by 1H- and 31P-NMR spectroscopy and preliminary results indicate that they are able to complex with transition metals. Therefore, such compounds can be of utility in diagnostic medicine, NMR imaging and in agrochemistry.
