Abstract

Lewis acid catalyzed addition of chiral phosphorus acid diamides to imines gave 1-aminophosphonamides in good yields and modest diastereoselectivity (up to 54%). Reaction of phosphorus acid diamide 1a with SnCl4 yielded a chlorophosphonamide. The crystal structure of the chlorophosphonamide, 2-chloro-2,3,3a,4,5,6,7,7a-octahydro-1,3-bis-benzyl-1H-1,3,2-benzodiazaphosphole-2-oxide has been determined by X-ray diffraction.
