Abstract

Two readily accessible (RO)₂ C[dbnd]C(OSiMe₃)(OR) react smoothly with oxygenated electrophiles (aldehydes, ketals, orthoesters) leading, with good yields, to the corresponding β-functionalized a,o dialkoxyesters.
