Abstract
η3-Allyl-bis-acetonitrilechlorodicarbonylmolybdenum(II) reacts with the thiosemicarbazones Fc[sbnd]CH[sbnd]N[dbnd]NH[sbnd]C(S)[sbnd]NH[sbnd]R [Fc = (η5C5H5)2Fe; R = H, CH3 QH5] in dichloromethane to give the complexes {(η,3-C3H5)MoCl(CO)2[Fc[sbnd]CH[dbnd]N[sbnd]NH[sbnd]C(S)[sbnd]NH[sbnd]R]} [Fc = (η5-C5H5)2Fe; R = H, CH3, C6H5], by displacement of the acetonitrile ligands. When the reaction is carried out in ethanol in the presence of sodium ethanolate, the complexes {(η3-C3H5)Mo(CO)2[Fc[sbnd]CH[dbnd]N[sbnd]NH[sbnd]C(S)[sbnd]NH[sbnd]R]} [Fc = (η5-C5H5)2Fe; R = H, CH3, C6H5 are prepared by displacement of the acetonitrile ligands and a substitution of the chlorine ligand.
