The reaction of 2-nitro-dibenzo[b,f]-1,4-thiazepine 1 with 2-mercaptoacetic acid has been investigated. The yet unreported ll-nitro-dibenzo[2,3:6,7]-1,4thiazepino[5,4-b]thiazolidin-3(H)-one 2 has been synthesized and characterized by chemical reactions and spectral data.
