Abstract

Treatment of substituted ethylenes CH₂[dbnd]CH—X (X: CN, CH₃CO) or ethylene oxides YCHCH₂O (Y:H, CH₃, CICH₂) with sodium perfluoroalkanesulfinates R₁ SO₂Na, (R₁: C₄F₉, CIC₄F₈) which were obtained from deiodosulfination reactions of R_f I with Na₂S₂O₄, gave 2-substituted ethyl perfluoroalkanesulfinates in moderated yields.
