Abstract

The synthesis and characterization of a sterically hindered eight-membered 12H-dibenzo[d, g][1,3,6,2]dioxathiagemocin is described. The δG^$273 for ring inversion (12.8 kcal.mol⁻¹) was determined by variable temperature ^lH NMR spectroscopy.
