Abstract

The constitution study and micro hardness measurement of laser surface cladding on cast steel were done by using ultra-microhardness tester UMHT-3, x-ray diffraclometer and EDAX electron energy loss spectrometer. The results showed that from surface to substrate, the microhardness changed significantly and combined with the compositional analysis, the results are rationalised.
