Abstract

Recent history, once again has demonstrated the importance of political decisionmaking in limiting or enhancing social welfare services and the quality of life in this country. This paper explores the needs of undergraduate social work students as they become sensitized to the possibilities and processes of social change, and discusses curriculum goals and classroom techniques aimed at strengthening students' professional commitments to social justice and concerns with social welfare policy.
