Using Forecasting Models to Plan For Social Work Education in the Next Century

Abstract

This article explores the use of forecasting in social work education as a precedent to planning for change. The author describes two qualitative and four quantitative forecasting models, examines areas of social work education in which faculty and administrators might usefully employ these models, and discusses the important role of forecasting in managing the future of higher education.
