Abstract

This article examines the effect that use of increasingly sophisticated and costly technology is having on social work education. While much of the literature addresses the positive aspects of technology in the profession, the authors consider the negative implications of technology for productivity, program development, and social relationships, to name a few. The authors provide suggestions for maintaining a social work perspective in the face of increased technology usage.
