Abstract
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) through its Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) operates the 20 MW research reactor at its Gaithersburg, Maryland site as a national facility, which is also available to non-U.S. users. The reactor, which has been in routine operation since 1969, supports a broad range of research activities. These include diffraction, inelastic scattering, activation analysis, depth-profiling, interferometry, and fundamental physics measurements. The NIST facilities were described in earlier issues of Narrron News [1,2], so that the present report is intended to be an update. More complete descriptions can also be found at http://www.ncnr.nist.gov.
