Abstract
The “Cool Neutron Project” is an RTD activity supported through the EU's Fifth Framework Program-Investing in Human Potential. It is a collaboration between five European laboratories with the aim to enhance neutron instrumentation in particular for spectroscopy in single crystals at low energy transfers (www.isis.rl.ac.uk/eucoolneutrons/). As part of the project activity, a workshop was organized to provide a forum for the dissemination of the outcome of the R&D activities, especially to young researchers.
