Abstract
The NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR) held a summer school on “Methods and Applications of Neutron Spectroscopy” from June 18–22, 2001. The meeting, organized by NCNR staff nieinbers John Copley and Peter Gehring, brought together 32 students from the USA, with a couple from Canada. Their interests varied from superconductivity and magnetism to soft condensed matter and biology. Throughout the week they learned how neutron inelastic scattering can shed light on many problems in these research areas.
