Spring school at KFA Jülich

Abstract

Every year the “Institut fur Festkörperforschung” in the KFA Julich organizes a spring school on condensed matter physics for students, thesis students and post-graduates. Held over a period of two weeks, it deals with topics selected from the institute's current research fields, starting with a general introduction into the basic principles of the topic. The majority of the teachers are the professors working at the KFA Julich who, simultaneously, teach in the nearby universities of Aachen, Bonn, Cologne, Münster, etc., or scientists from other research centers and from industry. The number of students, about 350, is limited by the capacity of the lecture hall.
