&

Notes

* Giorgos Kallis is a professor of ecological economics at ICTA, Barcelona. Erik Swyngedouw is a professor of Geography at the University of Manchester where he teaches every year Marx's Capital Volume 1. The conversation was initiated by Giorgos, who was trying to see the compatibilities and incompatibilities between ecological economics and Marxist theorizations of value.

1 We capitalize Value to refer to the Marxist concept of Value as distinct from the colloquial understanding of value in general.
