A Field Trip Planning Guide for Early Childhood Classes

Abstract

Museums offer opportunities for all children in an inclusion class to engage in interactive learning. This article provides a guide for planning field trips for educational engagement of all children. Based on interviews, environmental assessments and evaluations of activities, this article includes field trip considerations as delineated by Martin and Seevers (2001) and a field trip planning guide that includes the teacher, the parents, and the field site personnel.
