Roslyn Lindheim
Roslyn Lindheim is Professor of Architecture at the College of Environmental Design, University of California at Berkeley. For the past three years. she has been Principal Investigator for a program sponsored by the National Institute of Mental Health on the relationship between social, cultural, and behavioral factors and the physical environment. This program brought together faculty and students of several different educational. ethnic, and disciplinary backgrounds in an effort to incorporate a diversity of points of view in approaching environmental issues.
Professor Lindheim was a director of a research grant developed under the auspices of the Gerontological Society on environments for the elderly. She has recently co-authored a book. Environments for Sick Children. published by Harvard University Press, is a registered architect in New York and California, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and in 1972 was elected to the Institute of Medicine. National Academy of Sciences.
