Besim S. Hakim

Besim S. Hakim is an architect and urban design consultant and adjunct Professor to the Technical University of Nova Scotia, Halifax, and the University of Mew Mexico, Albuquerque. In 1971 he received his Masters of Architecture in Urban Design degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He was on the faculty of Architecture in Halifax from 1967–80, and held the rank of Associate Professor. He practiced and taught architecture and urban design in North America, the Middle East and North Africa. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Peter G. Rowe

Peter G. Rowe is Director of the School of Architecture at Rice University where he holds the rank of Associate Professor. He received his architectural education at Melbourne University in Australia and completed graduate studies in urban design at Rice. He is currently working on a project for the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation.
