ABSTRACT

Community partnerships that connect agencies with intersecting goals and constituencies can organize resources in a manner that is mutually beneficial and sustainable. The partnership discussed here – between a school district, university, and hospital – was initiated to build community capacity and increase access to comprehensive behavioral health supports and services. The resulting ecologically integrated framework has generated efficiencies across each of the organizations, but more importantly, demonstrated improvements for students, educators, schools, and agencies. This Community Partnership Consultation Model (CPCM) is described, as well as the concomitant longitudinal impacts on the behavioral health of students.
