Uncertainty: The Individual, The Collectivity, and a Consideration of Metapsychology

Abstract

This paper is an introduction to the work of Janine Puget and to a discussion of her work by Irene Cairo, Rogelio Sosnik, and Eyal Rozmarin. These papers all address the question of how the social and the intrapsychic are integrated and distinguished. The work of Bion is referenced, and the question of collective and individual aspects of identification are considered.
