Elizabeth A. Skewes is an Assistant Professor in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Her research focuses on media sociology, media coverage of presidential campaigns and the presidency, as well as the intersection of politics and popular culture. She is the co-author of “What's News in the United States,” a chapter in News Around the World, and the co-author of several journal articles.
