Dennis Rothermel is Professor of Philosophy at California State University, Chico. His recent publications include an essay on The Piano, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, The Pianist, and Hero, which appeared in the Quarterly Review of Film and Video; an essay on Mystic River in an anthology on Clint Eastwood; and an essay on My Darling Clementine in an anthology on Westerns. His essay, “Slow Food, Slow Film” was recently published in the Quarterly Review of Film and Video.
