PROJECTS AND INVESTIGATIONS FOR AN INTRODUCTORY STATISTICS COURSE

Pages 369-382 | Published online: 13 Aug 2007

ABSTRACT

At many schools, an introductory statistics course is taught in the Mathematics department. This article offers an overview of how two different types of activities, projects and in-class investigations, have been used by the author in beginning statistics classes. The activities presented can be easily incorporated into a course to help reinforce statistical concepts without using up entire class periods.
