Abstract

The main requirement, showed to properties materials of the first wall ITER, is their high corrosion-radiating resistance in water at temperature 200-350oC under neutron flux 10-30 dpa. Besides the materials should have high complexes of physical and mechanical properties and to have sufficient adaptability to manufacture and reliability weld connections.

The specified list of main criteria of serviceability limits a circle of materials of a class of corrosion-proof steel–high nickel alloys and reduces them to following: corrosion-proof steel of a type AISI 316, austenitic alloys a type 20 Cr-60 Ni and high chromium nickel base alloys type 40 Cr-60 Ni.

The comparative analysis corrosion, physical and mechanical properties under irradiation austenitic steels, nickel alloys and their weld connections has shown, that in the heaviest degree alloys of a type 40 Cr-60 Ni satisfy to the specified criterion of serviceability.
