Abstract

Controlled thermonuclear reactor (CTR) will be subjected by the multi-factor in fluence including irradiation, hydrogenation, thermocycling etc.1-2.

One of the most complex problem for candidate materials usage in CTR is the hydrogen–radiation defects interaction during operation.

Structural materials embrittlement may affect the integrity of CTR construction and therefore it is one of the critical auestion of CTR safety.

The above-mentioned factors are considered for their possible combined embrittlement effects.

It was found that such treatment result in degradation of the steel; the mechanical properties thus obtained differ significantly from originally received.
