Abstract
Incidence of testicular cancer has been steadily increasing during the last quarter century and is the most common cancer found in men ages 15–34. Testicular cancer education, however, does not appear to be widespread. Studies have shown the low knowledge and awareness men have regarding testicular cancer and testicular self examination, suggesting this information has not been effectively provided.
Teachers are an important influence in establishing positive long-term health behaviors in young men and play an essential role in disseminating accurate and relevant health information. Testicular self examination is a self detection method which may be performed by men to detect early warning signs of testicular cancer. Early detection strategies can be effective in reducing cancer morbidity and mortality.
