Abstract
The chiral intermediates (+)-11 and (+)-12, are synthetized by using the diastereoselective three-center Michael addition of the chiral β-ketoester 4 to crotonaldehyde 5 allowing a new efficient entry into the synthesis of the Prelog-Djerassi lactone and related compounds.
