Strictigine - A Novel 4-Vinylquinoline Alkaloid from Rhazya stricta

Abstract

A novel 4-vinylquinoline alkaloid, strictigine, has been isolated from the roots, stems and leaves of Rhazya stricta. The structure of strictigine (1) was established with the help of spectroscopic studies including HOHAHA and inverse NMR experiments (HMQC, HMBC)
