I hope you enjoy reading this issue 34 number 3, a special issue on the theme, “Enterprise Social Media for Knowledge Management and Innovation in SMEs.” The special issue editors are Pedro Soto-Acosta, University of Murcia, Spain; Juan-Gabriel Cegarra-Navarro, Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, Spain; and Alexeis Garcia-Perez, Coventry University, UK. It is my pleasure to introduce them.
Dr. Pedro Soto-Acosta is a professor of Management (with habilitation to full professor) at the University of Murcia, Spain. He attended postgraduate courses in Management at Harvard University, USA, and received his PhD in Business Economics from the University of Murcia. He serves as Associate Editor, Senior Editor, and Editorial Board Member for several flagship journals, including Decision Sciences, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, Electronic Markets, Information Systems Management, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, and Computational Economics. His work has been published in journals such as Computers in Human Behavior, Electronic Markets, European Journal of Information Systems, European Management Journal, Information Systems Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Technology Transfer, Management Decision, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, and Technological and Economic Development of Economy, among others. Dr. Juan-Gabriel Cegarra-Navarro is a full professor at the Technical University of Cartagena, Spain, and formerly a visiting professor at the Manchester Business School, the Hull Business School, and the Lancaster University Management School in the United Kingdom. He teaches in the area of Strategic Management, Knowledge Management, Unlearning, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). He serves as Associate Editor, Senior Editor, and Editorial Board Member for several flagship journals, including Knowledge and Process Management, The Service Industries Journal, and Electronic Journal of Knowledge Management. His work has been published in journals such as Technovation, Journal of Business Venturing, International Journal of Operation and Productions Management, British Journal of Management, Journal of Knowledge Management, Management Decision, International Journal of Information Management, among others. Dr. Alexeis Garcia-Perez is a Reader in Cyber Security Management at the Research Centre for Business in Society, Coventry University, United Kingdom, where he leads the Data, Organisations, and Society Research Group. He is a Senior Fellow of the UK. Higher Education Academy. Alexeis’s original background in Computer Science was complemented by a PhD in Knowledge Management from Cranfield University, United Kingdom. He delivered data, information, and knowledge management projects to industry players including Siemens, General Electric, the UK Ministry of Defence, and the British Railway Industry.
