Abstract
Dissatisfaction in systems development backlogs, consistently high staff-turnover rates, and senior management concern over the investment potential of information technology are some of the reasons chief information officers (ClOs) must begin to think in more strategic business terms. The results of the latest survey by Deloitte & Touche reveal the many challenges ClOs say they are currently faced with as they try to improve the technology, service, and business value of their IS departments.
