Converging on The Customer

Pages 81-83 | Published online: 06 Feb 2007

Abstract

Three categories of information—computing, knowledge, and communications—are converging in a model that places the consumer at the center of a technological and business revolution. As an enabler of communications, and the aspect of the convergence model getting the most press, the Internet encourages companies to rethink the enterprise and to change the way they do business.
