Abstract

To survive and even flourish in today’s world of rightsizings, frequent job changes, and growing competition with external consultants, IS professionals need to develop a proactive approach to career management. Creating a personal business plan that includes portable competencies helps IS professionals focus on their career vision, values, and growth and make sounder career decisions.
